Hi everyone !

We have DomainA and DomainB with a single oneway non-transitiv-trust
(DomainB trust DomainA). The process of upgrading DomainA from Windows 2003
to Windows2008 is about to finish... But I have one problem... When I try to
shutdown the last Windows 2003 DC (the one that has FSMO role before the
upgrade processe, but no longuer has it)... Users are not able to logon to
DomainA from a computer on DomainB. If I reboot the Win2k3 DC... All work
fine again !!!

What can I do to configure DomainB to contact news DC's on DomainA

Any idea ?

Sorry for my poor english !

Hello Hugo,

Make sure you have an available DNS server and that it is configured with
the correct DNS server from the other domain, sounds that DNS is the problem.
How is DNS configured for your trust now?

Also make sure in the upgraded domain a Global catalog server is available
and the 2008 firewall(enabled by default) is not blocking traffic between
the domains.

Best regards

Hello !

Here is additionnal informations :

DC1 is my old DC on Windows 2003. DC2 and DC3 are my new Windows 2008 DC.
FSMO role were transfered from DC1 to DC2... DC1, DC2 and DC3 are GC and DNS
server.

Firewalls are enabled and allow any-any traffic on DC2 and DC3

It seem there is no DNS problem ...

What do you mean by "How is DNS configured for your trust now ?"

Thank you !
